Laura Masulis

Senior Program Manager

Laura Masulis has a deep love for small businesses and makers – and believes they are essential ingredients for any thriving community.

While living in Massachusetts, Laura led a coalition of community partners to rebuild a downtown district in Springfield, MA into a vibrant center for local entrepreneurship, arts & dining. As part of that work, Laura accidentally started a community makerspace when a one-month-long pop-up never closed. She brings to UMA direct experience piloting new projects, improving existing programs, and scaling those that work.

As a Senior Program Manager, Laura is excited to contribute to Mechanism's mission by leveraging her expertise developed in the nonprofit, for-profit and government sectors. She believes in the power of collaborative and incremental efforts to create lasting change and is committed to helping Mechanism expand its impact.

Laura holds a degree from Wesleyan University and a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Boston University School of Management. When not working, Laura can be found growing and cooking food, singing in community or exploring Minnesota’s parks and rivers with her partner, kiddo, and hound dog.
