
Leah Archibald
Board Director
Leah Archibald is a passionate advocate for equitable economic development and inclusive industrial growth. With over 20 years in nonprofit leadership, workforce development, and urban policy, she brings deep insight and collaboration to the Mechanism board.
As Executive Director of Evergreen: Your North Brooklyn Business Exchange, Leah leads a team supporting more than 200 manufacturing and industrial businesses each year with access to financing, real estate, workforce resources, and policy advocacy. Her prior roles include leadership at SBIDC and ITAC, along with experience in community development with local and state officials.
Leah is deeply committed to Mechanism's mission of strengthening manufacturing ecosystems and expanding opportunities for underrepresented business owners. She is a natural connector and enjoys learning from others’ stories and experiences.
She also serves on the board of the Brooklyn Navy Yard and has played an active role in North Brooklyn’s environmental and land use planning efforts. Leah holds a Master’s degree in Urban Policy Analysis and Nonprofit Management from the New School for Social Research.
Outside of work, she’s a generous host, a singer and guitarist in a rock band and a proud Buffalo Bills fan living in Brooklyn, NY with her husband, David.
